Happy 4th! and my first time at the beach!

Hey everyone! Mommy, Daddy and I are going up to RI again! Here is a quick posting before I go. This was my life during the first half of July. As you can see, I am slowly catching up!

On 4th of July, I met Daddy's friend, Mr. Dave. He was so nice! It was fun hanging out at Starbucks watching the birds and cars.



Then, I took my first trip to Rhode Island. First, we went up to MA for a quick visit and I met some more family for the first time. I even have a cousin who's name is Michel, too, but they call him Mikey. On the way down to RI, I fortunately fell asleep with one of my favorite toys.






I was amazed to see the wide ocean and to breathe in that fresh, salty air.

Daddy didn't even mind the sand between his toes.


I had lots of fun inside.




Mommy does a good job brushing my hair and keeping me looking handsome.

Mommy showed me that the waves weren't too scary.



And, she even dipped my feet in. Brr!!! It was cold! It was loud too, and I got scared.



It was a little chilly, so I spent a good amount of time inside playing with Daddy...



...and staring at Avo!



And of course, dancing to some Portuguese music with Vavo!


Mommy was there, too!


I was ready for the beach! Daddy really liked my form-fitting top.





I had so much fun at the beach, I wish I never had to leave!

Happy Father's Day!

Mommy and I have been really busy, especially me. I have been crawling and sitting and going back and forth between the two. Mommy is real busy chasing me because I like to get into everything. Here is what happened during the second half of June!


First, I celebrated my first Father's Day!! I gave Daddy a picture of me spelling out "Dad."

I really wanted to eat the letters, but Mommy didn't let me.






Then, I made a sign for my grandfather. Again, I wanted to eat the paper, but Mommy didn't let me.

For Father's Day, we went down to Virginia for my little cousin, Elaina's baptism. I got to hang out at Starbucks with Mommy and Daddy on Saturday.



Then, I chewed on the lid.



Finally, I learned to drink from a straw. Mommy was really surprised when she felt cold liquid going up the straw.



Daddy let me eat his hat.



I got to enjoy a walk in my new big boy stroller. I love the fresh air!



On Sunday, we went to Elaina's baptism. Here I am with Mommy and Daddy outside the church. The big hat really kept the sun out of my eyes!



Here I am with my grandparents and my little cousin, Elaina, at her party.



Then I went back home and just hung out.



On June 26, I went swimming for the first time ever!
At first, I didn't know what to do.


But I was soon splishing and splashing!


The next day, I went on a swing for the first time!



Wee!!!



I had a ton of fun at the park!!


Finally, I have been really practicing my piano playing. Here I m practicing. Vavo says I can play really well, and now I can even sing!





Now for a real special treat. Here I am warming up.

I am Michael. Michael Paul.

I am not Mike or Mikey. I will not respond to either name. In fact, I get very upset when someone calls me something other than my name. Watch out. I can be very scary.



Now, on to fun things. There have been many new things going on with me. First, here are my new diapers! They are so soft and comfy.











I have 2 teeth, and I am working on my third, up top. Can you see my 2 bottom teeth? If you click on the bottom pic, you should be able to see them better.






I just love to feel my teeth!


I'm doing a real good job of sitting up. Diane, whom I am finally starting to love, said I am doing really well with sitting. What do you think?



I also love to stand now, too!

Mommy caught me standing on the couch looking out at the street.





I know that babies love to put things in their mouths, but I take it to a whole new level.
I would rather eat the mirror than look at myself. Nothing is safe from my mouth!



Mommy is not happy, but I do not like to read. I'd rather chew and destroy the books than have to read them. Daddy has to give me a chewable book while he reads the real book to me.





Mommy FINALLY fed me banana. As you can see I wasn't a big fan.



I love helping Mommy around the house. Here I am helping her with my favorite chore - changing the sheets! Mommy says that I am a good little buddy.




It's been really rainy here in PA. Mommy and I are going coo-coo being stuck inside. I can't wait to go outside again and sport my cool shades.


A very, very exciting thing happened a couple weeks ago. I went on my first strawberry picking adventure!! First, we got on a hayride to get to the field. It was pretty scary. At first, Daddy was holding me, but I gave a big pouty lip, so Mommy held me.




Here we are in the field. Again, I was a real good helper.



Look at all those strawberries!


Mommy said I was too young to have any strawberries so I resorted to eating the strap of the Ergo. Yum.


The ride back from the field was much better, but I don't know what happened to my hair. The ladies on the bench across from me called me a little man.

Then, I was so happy when Daddy came home from work!



Uh, oh. I am beginning to lose my balance.


Getting more wobbly.


Plop! This is why I love practicing sitting on the bed!











I get very excited playing in my Exersaucer now!





Mommy says I am a good boy. She loves me SO much!
